Halloween was fun! This year she was up and running! By the time bedtime arrived she was one tired little girl. She enjoyed playing with Maddie (who was a cat) and the spiderwebs. Melissa took a video of Brynnlee winding around in the webs and falling because she was trapped. It was so cute, but really tough to keep her away from the webs. Well it was really hard to keep up with her in general. She wanted to be outside, but it was a bit too chilly to hang outside. They put a firetruck outside with the smoke machine and strobe light on it. Brynnlee loved watching it and wanted to play in the smoke.
This past weekend was exhausting! It was Jeff's last weekend off for the year. Friday I worked, after work we went to my parents for a taco dinner to celebrate Katelynne's birthday. Saturday was a big day! We were up early on our way to Frankenmuth. First thing we did was stop at Coney Island for breakfast. Once we arrived at Frankenmuth we went to Bronners first. Brynnlee was amazed at all the lights and everything moving. She stared at everything! We all loved watching her soak everything in! This year we went simple for her ornament. We bought two dark blue ornaments; one for our house and one for Nana & Papa's tree. We also bought our second family ornament. It is a pontoon boat :) Doesn't have the top like ours, but we were pretty excited about the choice! We left Bronners and went to walk the town. We stopped in a few shops, headed to the River Place stores and also to the Cass River Park. In 2007 we took a picture of Nick, Katie and myself. It was almost 4 years ago to the date, and we were there that weekend for Katie's birthday as well. We recreated the picture, it as fun to see how much we have changed.
After we finished walking around, my family headed to Zehnders for dinner while Jeff and I took Brynnlee to Novi for her second snow show. She was a handful again this year, but she did well. We didn't buy much, just a few stickers and hyfax for Jeff's snowmobile. Brynnlee was able to sit on a snowmobile, she loved it of course. We are in trouble when she gets older!
By the time we got home all three of us were exhausted. Brynnlee ate dinner and shortly after she went to bed. Poor thing was exhausted, and had barely napped all day. Jeff wanted to stay up late because starting tonight he has to work 14 nights straight. Neither one of us lasted long, and we fell asleep with the t.v. on. Jeff was up early this morning for a meeting at the fire department. Brynnlee and I took advantage of the time change and slept in a little. We spent the majority of the day lounging around the house. I was able to get a few things done, but enjoyed a pretty quiet day. Tomorrow will be a long day at work, then off Tuesday to help with the election. Tuesday Brynnlee will be at my parents almost all day long. I wish our schedules would change. I have hope that it will get better.
I'm off to shower and head to bed. I need to starting making a change with my arrival time to work. Performance reviews are coming up, and I'm a little nervous. It is was it is, but I am looking for something more adequate to my career goal.
