I know its been touch and go with my blogs. I really wanted to keep up with the posting so that Brynnlee had a record of the events in her young life. I'm going to try to catch back up and brief the past few weeks!
Brynnlee now has 8 teeth! She has the top and bottom front four teeth. On June 23rd she had her 9 month check up. She weighed 22 pounds, 7 ounces and was 29 1/2 inches long. That puts her in the 95% for both height and weight. Dr. Reddy said she is doing great and is a healthy baby. He also mentioned that her 1 year molars are already coming in and her soft spot is almost closed; which normally closes between 15-18 months. So she is ahead on some things!
The first step is coming quickly! She needs to gain confidence to make the first step. Brynnlee will stand up on the coffee table and lean towards me. Before she takes the step she will either fall forward into my arms or drop to the ground and crawl.
Nighttime is getting a little better. She still fights her sleep terribly, but I have been putting her to bed awake. She cries, but by the time I take her humidifier downstairs to fill it and bring it back up she is asleep. I guess she just doesn't want to be held anymore :(
On Sunday we had Brittany's graduation party. Jeff and I went at seperate times because he had to work that night, but I was still trying to get ready. Brynnlee had a lot of fun, and was ready to pass out. I put her in her car seat and put the car in drive; she istantly fell asleep!
Brynnlee is now 9 months old. She is wearing 9-12 month clothing (and some 12-18 month) and size 4 diapers. Its bittersweet to see how much she is growing. Last night she was playing with a blanket that was made for her. She kept watching the pattern (of Humpty Dumpty). She would lean over and pick at the blanket, then smile at the big sun. She loves colors and cartoon pictures. She also watched the show So You Think You Can Dance with me. She loves the movement, music and colors. When they clap for the contestants she laughs and starts clapping.
Its so much fun watching the look on her faced as she concentrates. She lights up with joy at the simple things in life. Like when we put her in her car seat in Jeff's truck. She gets so excited because the portable cd player is in there. She will get so excited when you press play, but when the opening Disney screen comes on she lights up! Now she is doing this thing when she gets so excited...its almost like she is snorting and laughing at the same time.
Everyday I fall more in love with her and her beautiful face. I can't imagine our life without her. She can make any day good and her smile can make any problem go away. She touches everyone life in one way or another.
I'm so proud of her and her growth. She is crawling as fast as lightening and most days I love it, but some days its tough keeping up with her. I told a coworker today that I can't wait until Bug can crawl, and truthfully I can. I want her to grow, but just not so quickly. I feel like her life is flying by and everything is changing so fast. With us working two jobs I feel like I can't keep up with her every move. Some days I can't wait for my layoff to come. It will be tough not working; both financially and mentally. I know the time will allow me to focus on Brynnlee, the township work and housework. I am so excited to finally work on having a organized life and house. Until then I am just plugging along!
