Laid off

On June 6th I found out that I was being laid off from early head start at the end of September when our current grant year ends. When I took this job last February I knew there was a possibility that I could be laid off. I was ok with that decision if it meant allowing the children to receive services. However I don't feel like that is the reason why I was laid off. During the grant team committee meetings they never discussed my job, but the director announced that my job and another job would be eliminated. I'm disappointed at how it is all happening, but my opinion doesn't count ;) They are offering a fulltime and parttime position that are both basically the same as my job, but less money and the one they want me to apply for is less hours. I wish I could be using my degree, but I think I may accept the layoff and go back to school for my masters degree. It all depends on what I am offered. I supposed I'll have to report back in September and update what my final decision will be.
